In this section I want to talk about my social skills and social activities. The examples I give should enable you to get a better insight into my character.Thoughtfulness:I care for the well-being of my environment. This strength is reflected in my engagement in local politics and in my social activities. For example, I constantly motivate and support my peers to participate in competitions and to take over responsibilities (e.g. as a class representative). In the final assessment of my exchange studies in 2020 the teachers told me that they were impressed by my ability not only to manage my work but also to look into the work of my colleagues and manage them if necessary.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Pioneer:My colleagues frequently praise me for my ability to take up and investigate uncommon tasks and finally provide them with information which enables them to work more effectively. For example, in my exchange semester in 2020 in game development I did a lot of research in file compression in the initial phase of the project. My research resulted in guidelines about compression and file formats. These guidelines helped my colleagues to improve the performance of the program from the beginning on.Another example of my intellectual flexibility is my tutorial in mathematics. During my studies at the HSLU I agreed to be the tutor of my peers in math since a professional teacher could not be found by the university at short notice. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Creativity: I can think out of the box. During my exchange studies in the Netherlands I connected matching algorithms with game and with genealogy for a small 4-week-project. One of the teachers told me that this was the most creative idea since the module has been set up in 2015.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Reliable: I am reliable and keep my promises even if this means that I must work extra hours. For example, during the Swiss national elections in 2019 I was responsible for the door-to-door campaign in the electoral district of Aarau for my party. The candidates praised me for my clear communication, my effective planning and the great effort I put into the campaign.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Strong research skills:My abilities to perform in-depth research and writing papers are widely acknowledged. Therefore, my peers ask me regularly to review their written works.
