I am at the head of the CNRS Institut Foton. I am deputy director of ENSSAT.My current interests are for laser physics, coherency and synchronization._______________________________________________The Institut Foton (Optical Functions for the Technologies of Information) is an academic pole of excellence in photonics for the technologies of information. It is a unity of the CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique), more precisely of its department INSIS (INstitut des Sciences de l’Ingénierie et des Systèmes). It is associated to two organisms University of Rennes 1 (Enssat and Institute of Technology, Lannion) and the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées of Rennes.120 members with 75 permanents are localized on two geographical sites in Brittany (Lannion and Rennes). It is located in Lannion (Britanny, France) and is part of University of Rennes.ENSSAT is a highly selective institution. Admission is highly competitive and based either on academic portfolio, interview and exam scores, or on competitive exams for students already in possession of an undergraduate degree. A degree equivalent to a Master's of Science in Engineering (Diplome d'Ingenieur) is then conferred after successful completion of three years of postgraduate studies. We have four diplomas in : Electronics; Software; Computer Sciences; Photonics; multimedia and network (internship). Enssat graduate 120 ingeniors per year.
