About Pascal De Wit

Met mijn 25 jaar ervaring op het gebied van financiële handelssoftware, weet ik dat een gebruiker van een systeem functionaliteit, gebruikersvriendelijkheid en snelheid het belangrijkste vindt. Het meest irritant zijn de bugs! Financiële software moet zelfs bug-vrij zijn. Ik ben bekend met de hele testcyclus (onder andere functionele ontwerpen, bugs reproduceren en testen), behalve het schrijven van de code. Tevens heb ik gebruikershandleidingen geschreven en testscenario’s gemaakt voor automatisch testen van systemen. Ik fungeer dan ook het beste als de onmisbare schakel tussen de programmeurs en de klant.In mijn werk heb ik altijd gezorgd voor:- Toevoegen van nieuwe functionaliteiten zoals de gebruiker voor ogen heeft- Reproduceren en produceren van gerapporteerde bugs en daarvoor alle informatie aan te leveren aan de programmeur(s)- Alle testen om nieuwe releases bug-vrij in productie te kunnen nemen- Updaten van handleidingen voor gebruikers en schrijven van testscenario’s- Heel veel zelf testen zoals een gebruiker met het systeem omgaatIn het algemeen kan ik goed in teamverband functioneren. Tevens kan ik mij heel goed focussen op een specifiek probleem en geef niet op tot de beste oplossing gevonden is. Ik houd van resultaatgericht werken. Verder vind ik het leuk om nieuwe functionaliteiten te ontwikkelen in samenspraak met programmeurs en klanten.

    Responsible for the development of the Mijn Broker trading and risk managment system (www.mijnbroker.nl). This is a trading application for non professional users.Main Tasks:- Building the whole Mijn Broker trading and risk management system from scratch. This included writing the system specifications, development of margin algorithm, connecting to Kasbank backend, AFM reporting system and testing the whole system. Within 9 months, the system ran in the production environment on Euronext Exchange with clients trading. In later stages, more markets were added, like CATS and speeders and turbos from Commerzbank and Citybank. - Responsible for progress of the testing process. - Central coordinator for Mijn Broker Management, Risk Management, IT and Helpdesk.- Central coordinator for the team of 3 developers during the development and 1 developer during the system delivery.
