- 1978, I became the youngest doctor in litterature and human sciences in France. My thesis to proved that mass media obeyed very specific semiotic rules, quite different from normal languages. It lead to structured semiotic tools for advertising evaluation.- 1980, I met Ginny Valentine for the first time. I supported her at the Market research Society conference. We became friends and cooperated in many projects until 2010 when she left us.- Until 1984, I developed language computer analysis on a PC. I won the prize for the best methodoligical paper at Esomar, in Lisbon 1988.- 1985, I created Trilogy that was, for more than 20 years, one of the most creative research agencies in France.- 1987, I joined Qualis International that was the first international Qualitative research group. It was specialised in intercultural anthropology, for international companies.My paper « Die European Via de Vivre » at the Esomar conference in Luxembourg, 1991, illustrated the issues and new perspectives of developing Europe.- 1993 and 1999, I presented different papers on innovation and the ways to make it succesful, above all in an international context.- 1996, I studied the influence of Chaos Theory on marketing and communication and the surprising learnings stemming from it.- Since 2000, I developed an expertise in filmed ethnography with many important projects in automotive industry, household, mobile phone usage, pharmaceutical industry, etc.The most recent development of such approach involves the mirror neurons and the creative empathy : the client’s expertise is directly stimulated by his own observation of consumers.- Since 2005, I focused on qualitative evaluation of the pharmaceutical industry communication.- I have recently reactivated my activity as a semiotician with the SEMIOTEST™ .I can set up and conduct projects, contribute to develop research companies skills, and also propose conferences adapted to the client specific problematics.
