Germany - Biebesheim

As an independant Consultant I ran and managed the project of implementing a WMS module. For a former PPX paper merchant integrating the full WMS processes into the ERP system IBS. Replacing the existing third party WMS (Active Logisitcs) by the WMS module of the ERP system the company uses. With this three processes were updated in IBS to fit the WH layout, products and physical handling.

As member of an international team working at the implementation of an ERP-system in all operational Paper merchants of Paperlinx in Europe (28 companies in 15 countries). Since October 2007 as Central Domain Lead Logistics responsible for all implementations and the corporate set up and required development of the software.First project: Deutsche Papier and Deutsche ADP in Germany, two paper and sign merchants with in total 15 warehouses in Germany. Responsible for Logistics, the transformation from the exsisting system to the new ERP system (IBS, from IBS Sweden). Setup of the system, writing and evaluating developments, training of people. Responsible for the entire logistics as well as general and technical support services. Total of 110 staff. Departmental budget € 9 million.Business to business paper wholesaler. Converting at customers’ request using 4 cutting machines and 2 stack lifts. Two distribution centres and three ancillary storage locations.Each day more than 1000 deliveries, the majority of which with dedicated transport using over 40 distribution vehicles. Proost en Brandt is part of Paperlinx Europe, with head quarters in Amsterdam and former part of Buhrmann NV.

Responsible for the entire logistics of the main supplier for printers in the Benelux. Storage and distribution of daily supplies as inks, (metal) blankets and chemicals, as well as spare parts for machineries. By this the delivery and positioning of the heavy printing and cutting machines were part of the job. In total the logistics department had 40 employees in 4 different sub departments.
