Took-over the operational management of Worms & Cie, a large diversified holding company, on behalf of the Agnelli Family, its controlling shareholder - €2.5bn distributed to the shareholders between 2004 and 2007 - A new management team recruited and managed to execute a large asset disposal program: Permal (fund of funds of hedge funds with over $30 bn under management in the US) sold for $1.4bn to Legg Mason, Pechel (PE), Antonin Rodet, Domaines Jacques Prieur (Burgundy Estate and Winery) and remaining stakes in Accor and St Louis. - Increase of the shareholding in SGS from 12% to 25% (the world leader in certification) before a distribution to the shareholders through a share buyback paid in SGS shares for a total of €1.5bn. - Managed and reduced the risks of the hidden historical liabilities of Worms & Cie: EEC antitrust fine on carbonless (€250m), pension liabilities in the UK (£600m), Fox River litigation in the US (a $250m claim), finally sold in 2011.
