Passionate about language from a young age — a passion which I have given life as an adult by becoming a translator.For 5 years I've translated and proofread texts on an array of subjects and for many different target audiences, always putting my client and intended reader first, and never letting a text be published without having thoroughly proofread and triple-checked it beforehand.To me, translating is much more than the literal translation of words and their grammatical places in a sentence. It is both an art and a science, the correct execution of which can make or break a body of text. Translation is translation, yes, but it is also research on the topic of the text, localisation for an audience overseas, creativity to be put into words so they sound natural and flowing rather than robotic, and proofreading until near perfection is achieved. My skills in all of these fields improves with each word I translate.
