Monitored security precautions and controlled the movement of foreign detainees in Iraq during deployment. Provided direct supervision of several detainees in secured location. Patrolled facility and made rounds counting and recording prisoners coming into or out of a secured location. Assisted in booking detainees following established procedures to include; initial health assessment, personal histories, fingerprints, and photographs. Administered medical aid to detainees and provided security for medical staff. Responded to and assessed emergency situations such as fights, suicide attempts, threats to staff, fire alarms, escape attempts, contraband recovery, and medical situations by applying first aid, enforcing rules, restraining detainees, responding to calls for assistance, or by notifying proper authorities. Applied the Use of Force continuum appropriately to gain compliance from detainees that pose a danger to themselves, others, or property. Responded to calls for assistance throughout a secured facility and documented all facts and details regarding incidents and or individuals. Supervised, coordinated, escorted, and informed adult detainees in a secured location. Assisted in processing, coordinating, and disseminating needs such as medical and health issues, courts, visitation, food, clothing, bedding and shelter. Conducted physical searches of detainees, living areas, staff and visitors for contraband in accordance with military policy and procedures. Assisted in processing detainees release and returning personal property upon leaving the secured location. Successfully worked with individuals having limited or no English language skills and from diverse cultural, educational, religious and socio-economic backgrounds.
