Advanced smokefree policy and regulatory changes at the state and municipality level to promote health equity. Oversaw the implementation of community learning opportunities and the provision of technical assistance and support to the Expanding Smokefree Communities to advance tobacco-free living strategies.

Managed the Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH-MNO) CDC capacity-building cooperative agreement aimed at reducing breast and cervical cancer health disparities in high-risk communities. Worked with community partners and para-health professionals to disseminate culturally- responsive, practice-and evidence-based interventions. Provided capacity development technical assistance activities for community-based organizations to implement public health activities.

Co-created the Elected Official Program, expanding the agency's relationships with state/local elected officials, legislator-serving organizations and key party committees and identified opportunities to increase visibility of pro-choice and family planning issues and Planned Parenthood. Developed a foundational guide to Planned Parenthood public affairs work, providing best practices, model tools and resources to assist in agenda-setting and cultivating effective relationships with elected officials at all levels of government.Oversaw the clergy outreach program including supporting the Clergy Advisory Board, drafting the Clergy Connection newsletter and advocacy toolkits, and managed the clergy database.

Provided legislative guidance and technical assistance to our over 90 affiliate public affairs staff in all 50 states on strategies advancing reproductive justice. Managed a system for tracking, analyzing and reporting on over 1,000 choice-related bills each year via bi-weekly updates, monthly trends reports and bi-annual comprehensive reviews. Drafted and disseminated policy issue guidance, talking points, and organizational memos.

Tracked state and local health-related bills and assisted in the drafting of policy position statements on issues pertinent to GNYHA members. Worked in collaboration with community-based organizations to develop best practices to improve language access for limited English patients (LEP) to improve health outcomes and quality of care.
