About Pascal Goergen

Pascal Goergen, born in Cologne in 1963, has been the Diplomatic representative of the Brussels-Capital Region to the EU since January 2001. He holds a PhD in political sciences and is passionate about Europe. He is an expert in matters related to regional policy and institutional lobbying of regions in the European decision-making process. The success of his previous publications Lobbying in Brussels and Networking in Brussels cast him as a reference point on these topics. As regional promoter and defender of the regional fact, he is since 2015 the Secretary General of FEDRA (Federation of Regional Actors in Europe) after being Secretary General of the Assembly of European Regions (2011-2014) and Secretary General of the REGLEG network (Regions with Legislative Power) in 2010.
