Teaching in the Business & IT and Computer Science programmes, both at undergraduate as well as graduate level. Research in business-IT alignment, IT architecture and IT security. Supervised several Ph.D. candidates, leading to two successful theses. One of the leading persons in the Business and Information Technology (BIT) bachelor and master programs: responsible for the design of the program, chairman of the quality control committee, member of the examinations committee. According to Keuzegids Hoger Onderwijs (the most influential national study program guide) BIT is the second best information systems program in The Netherlands.Responsible for 3 courses per year in the BIT and Computer Science programs:- "Integration Project BIT" (bachelor level, 1st year): selection of software package based on case provided by local hospital. Students’ appreciation: 8.6/10 (2012), 8.4/10 (2013).- "Architecture of Information Systems" (master level).- "Advanced Architecture of Information Systems" (master level).Successfully supervised 80+ M.Sc. graduation project at many organizations, including Belastingdienst, BiZZdesign, Capgemini, Centric, Deloitte, Everett, EY, Getronics, InfoSupport, ING, IT-Eye, KLM, KPMG, NIBCapital, Ordina, Quinity, Rabobank, Shell, Stedin, UWV, Wavin.84 publications (list: http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=PEnurM4AAAAJ), over 500 citations. Topics include SOA governance, network analysis, metrics, outsourcing.Reviewer and/or program committee member for about 10 academic journals and 40+ international scientific conferences.Roles related to internal IT of University of Twente: member audit committee IT shared service center, member of the university IT Board.
