First and foremost, I love a challenge. Ever since I was young, I found myself pin-pointing problems and deriving a plan on how to approach them. What started out as creating affordable home décor for my dorm room quickly evolved into designing a device to improve current methods of measuring blood loss during a cesarean section. Mechanical engineering is a never-ending puzzle that I am passionately engaged in solving. As a recent graduate, I am often asked questions about desired industry and my “perfect” job. It wasn’t until I spent a summer at Aruba Networks that I realized colleagues and company culture outweigh the products I am designing. To answer the question - my “perfect” job is to work for a company that fosters curiosity and growth. I want leaders who encourage employees to work outside of their comfort zones and to pursue areas of personal interest when applicable. Most importantly, I want to work among peers who inspire me to expand my horizons as a mechanical engineer. In my free time I’m likely curled up on the couch with a new psychological thriller, taking advantage of the California weather or actively contributing to my dog’s separation anxiety.
