Leading the research and commercialisation for the Nominet’s TV White Space and Dynamic Spectrum Management services. The Nominet database was the first worldwide to be qualified for operation in the UK by Ofcom.Responsible for delivering technical solutions and exploring commercial opportunities in the area of wireless communications and dynamic spectrum management.

As a part of the R&D team, I am involved in researching, developing, evaluating and testing new products and technologies to support tomorrow’s internet infrastructure, as well as in generating innovative new ideas and taking them through modelling, proof-of-concept and prototyping in a lean-startup approach.

The Dynamic Spectrum Alliance (DSA) is a global organisation advocating for laws and regulations that will lead to more efficient and effective spectrum utilisation around the world. The DSA supports the following policies to create an appropriate legal and regulatory framework to foster dynamic access to spectrum:- gaining a better understanding of spectrum use around the globe;- regulations that do not favour one radio access technology over the other and allow for the co-existence of a variety of technology platforms;- making unused spectrum available for dynamic spectrum access in licensed, license-exempt (unlicensed) and lightly licensed spectrum bands;- supporting dynamic spectrum access across a variety of complementary spectrum bands;- promoting the use of geolocation databases and other interference protection mechanisms;- supporting global harmonisation of dynamic access to unused spectrum; and- encouraging long-term efforts to develop regulations making dynamic spectrum access the default mode of access to radio spectrum, with technical rules that address legitimate interference concerns.

As part of the Product Research Group, performed strategic analysis of state-of-the-art and innovative technologies and solutions to be used in the development of Sky products and provided technical insights to other parties within the business, including acting as centre of competence within Sky for wireless standards and technologies.
