About Keely Sutton, Ed. S
As an educator of 20+ years, the passion that drives me is student learning, discovery and achievement. I strive to provide a consistent model of excellence and mentorship through my leadership, instruction, and relationships in the professional learning community. My plight and purpose in educating youth and their families, is to provide a balance of high expectations and rigor in the learning environment and in the home, in addition to helping them develop socially and emotionally through positive self-management. I do so with love, logic, and relevance – whether in the classroom, as an educational leader, or externally as a viable resource in pursuit of their respective life objectives, passions, and interests. My success as an educator comes from recognizing the potential in EACH student, rather than in ALL students. I firmly believe that ALL students can learn and succeed when the foundation is solid. Meeting the needs of each individual student/family is my focus, as student learning is not based on a "one size fits all" instructional model. As an educator, I aspire to "be the change I wish to see in my community" and it is reflected in my dedication to my craft, my students' success, community relationships, as well as my continual professional development. I have, and will never cease in my pursuit of education and development. To be succinct, my passion for motivating, inspiring, and educating young people, as well as my professional peers; serves as my personal motivation."Students don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."-Anonymous * Twenty three years of experience.* Advocate of W.E.B.D, personalized, and project based learning. * Focus on sustained academic growth through data driven instruction.* Passionate about promoting literacy across the curriculum.* Center curriculum and instruction around character building and real life experiences.*Bridging the gap between school and family.*Providing wrap around supports to families to meet the needs of the ‘whole’ child.
Listed skills include Curriculum Development, Curriculum Design, Classroom, Public Speaking, and 45 others.
