OUR NAME:As contradicting a name as it is, PastMODERN has beencreated as a label to represent our design mentality andapproach. In linking design history to our modern day lives, weare merging together a new amalgamation to introduce in thefield of interior design. Past styles, techniques and artistic viewsare heavily used as a reference guide to create acontemporary method and apply it in today’s interiors. This iswhat we are about. PastMODERN is essentially a tool used toextract yesterday’s wealth of creativity and enable it throughtoday’s trends and aspirations.OUR STORY:We are two extremely passionate girls who are, like any other designers, always striving to come up with ways to represent design in a unique, intuitive way. Our slogan is to ‘create’ and ‘educate’ and this is where are backgrounds assimilate in wanting to spread the love and approach in design to the public. Enter the seminars. Each seminar given will target a specific branch in the field to help those who do not particularly have a design background to learn about its basics and acquire a sense of creativity. Learning about trends, colors, space layout and organization are going to be used as building blocks to guide people into gaining more knowledge about what we do. This covers the ‘educating’ part of our scope. ‘Create’, on the other hand, is where we two use our talent and skill to design furniture pieces, accessories and even interiors as a whole, but in a distinctive manner. We strive to be different than our fellow designers in the market and therefore use inspirations from the past to come up with modernized versions of what once worked.
