The position is responsible for outreach, intake, and assessment of clients for the Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program (HVRP) as well as income support and barrier removal. The Workforce Development Specialist works closely with the Lead Case Manager and Job Developer to ensure that each participant has access to training and employment opportunities. The Workforce Development Specialist participates on the HVRP team to present regular job clubs. The Workforce Development Specialist provides training and support to new HVRP staff and collaborates with the Center for Working Families staff to provide CWF services to participants. The Workforce Development Specialist works with the HVRP team to develop and maintain the SWS internal and external veteran service provider network.

Duties included, but were not limited to, serving as the senior-level leader of operations and training department for 110 personnel department that provides anti-terrorism & force protection for a population of 34,000 active duty personnel, 10,000 families, 2,400 civilian employees, and 389,000 annual visitors that work, reside, and visit Naval Station Great Lakes. I have conducted training and exercises that evaluate the effectiveness of the security staff. Monitor the day-to-day operation of Naval Security Staff, and develop shift schedules. Among many other duties that fall under my department.
