During my 16 year career with McKee Food in both Plant and Corporate Engineering I was responsible for the design, build, and installation of numerous large capital projects. Designer at McKee are responsible for coordinating and supervising shop labor during the build and installation process of a project. This encompasses supervising multiple crews of fabricators, machinist, welders, and pipe fitters all at the same time. While at McKee Foods the company expanded two plants. Designer at McKee are responsible for coordinating and supervising shop labor during the build and installation process of a project. This encompasses supervising multiple crews of fabricators, machinist, welders, and pipe fitters all at the same time. While at McKee Foods the company expanded two plants. The first of which was a plant expansion in Gentry, AR. The project lasted 3 years and during that time I traveled and supervised 8 welders and pipe fitters on a weekly basis until project completion.The second expansion was in Collegedale, TN where for 2 year I supervised two crews of pipe fitters at the same time. The crews consisted of 6 individual in each team. Large scale project such as this one the Designer is required to be on site supervising their crews daily.These opportunities aided me in becoming an effective communicator and a leader. Show less
