Major Accomplishments Alumni CenterI wrote the feasibility study for the University of Dayton Alumni Center and presented the study to the National Alumni Association (NAA) board in September, 2004. Subsequently, the NAA made a one million dollar gift to launch the alumni center’s Phase I plan for landscaping, meeting rooms and interactive video displays in the alumni center which is now housed within the River Campus building. African American Alumni OrganizationI resurrected the African American Alumni Organization (AAAO) by organizing monthly meetings, engaging new members, supporting minority student programs and culminating in the African American Alumni Reunion in 2008. The African American Alumni Reunion committee was responsible for contacting alumni nationwide to encourage them to attend the reunion and make a donation to the Black Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund for Diversity in Community. The scholarship was established in 2004 by Michelle J. Wright but did not have the adequate funds for an endowment. Under my direction, the reunion committee raised the remaining funds to fully endow this scholarship, approximately $23,000. My work with this organization resulted in receiving two Diversity Grant awards from the Office of the President of the University of Dayton.The Presidents Travel ProgramI launched this program in 2009. Dr. Curran accompanied alumni and friends on a multi-leg itinerary in China including Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou and Hong Kong. Our group met with Chinese officials at the Suzhou Industrial Park for a tour of the proposed site for what is now the University of Dayton China Institute. Our second trip with Dr. Curran was to Italy In June, 2011 and included stops in Rome, Assisi, Montalcino and Florence. I personally planned and executed both programs. As of September, 2015 the people we engaged on these trips have made donations back to the university in excess of six million dollars
