Previously managed an Outstanding group of 4 Children's Centres with a reach of approximately 3,500 under fives. Focusing on delivering services to expectant families and children under one and families in need, the children's centre team work closely with partners to build strong foundations for our children's futures. I am Hertfordshire Children's Safeguarding Board Trainer and an Accredited 'About Boys' trainer. Previously employed as a training manager I have extensive experience of delivering training to early years and parents, commissioned by numerous local authorities.Having worked both in Social Care and Education, both in the state and private sector I have an in depth knowledge of early years education and childcare. Experience as both an Ofsted Inspector and a contract manager for a multi-national childcare company has given me a good insight into the requirements and challenges that face the early years sector and parents.I sit on Hertfordshire's Early Years Executive Consultative Group and previously represented this committee on the Schools Forum. This experience along with the comprehensive training and networking available to me in my current role enables me to remain ahead of the curve of new innovations and policy changes.I am a director of Skylarks Daycare which is linked with Batford Nursery School where I am both a member of the senior leadership team and a school governor, sitting on the finance and strategy committees. My current interest is in supporting early education provision through successful business development and management in what is both a challenging and exciting climate. I will be looking for a new position in this field of work from October this year.

Responsible for managing the contracts for the provision of childcare to government departments and blue chip companies, including BP, Pfizer, Unilever, MOD, Foreign and Commomwealth Office, Home Office. I was part of the team Won the bids for the contracts with both Pfizer and BP, winning an international award for the Pfizer contract. I was responsible for a budget with a turnover exceeding 12 million pounds per annum and I always exceeded profit targets without compromising standards with centres. Centres consistently receiving the highest Ofsted grading.

Responsible for the registration and inspection of Early Years Providers
