About Pat Gorham
As an educator for over 20 years and a project manager who has initiated numerous regional education and enrichment programs, my goal is to bring diverse community members together so we can learn from one another and accomplish goals we couldn’t reach alone. Through my experience as a special education teacher, I have seen first hand the impact of inclusion, both in schools and in the community, and how it helps the entire group grow stronger.My experience and passions—including the arts, learning, team building, and inventing—drove me to start Savorii, a small business that developed innovative products for vocational training. Currently, I am assisting Dr. Claire Crane of Salem State University Center for Community Schools to develop resources that encourage and promote local partnerships. I also recently co-authored One World, a book that shares inspiring stories about what communities can achieve when diverse neighbors work together.Although I am a teacher, I am, above all, a student, eager to explore and learn from those around me. What I have learned through my life experiences is that the power of true inclusion - people working and playing together - is nearly unstoppable.
