- Architect, develop, deploy and maintain line of business software for the various aggregates, asphalt, paving, ready mixed concrete and construction businesses within Oldcastle. These applications include but are not limited to product demand and sales forecasting, cost projections, insurance claims tracking, and equipment management.- Responsibilities include managing three direct reports , driving application architecture, researching and evaluating new technologies, mentoring team members, building new applications, interfacing with customers and BA’s for requirements gathering and support, supporting existing applications, troubleshooting critical production issues and managing vendor relationships.- Our time tracking application allows for job foreman in the field to record their time along with their employees time, provide daily job notes, schedule jobs, provide job detail and equipment metrics, record safety related information, etc. My responsibilities on this application were to get the rest of the team ramped up on Silverlight, MVVM and WCF services. I was also responsible for much of the architecture and development of the system as well as creating several SQL Server Reporting Services reports for surfacing of data. - Developed iOS client application prototypes for existing applications to determine feasibility of creating mobile clients for existing applications.- Provided REST style services for integration with vendor written iOS applications. Implemented WCF behaviors to seamlessly transform our existing WCF/XML services built for existing applications into REST/JSON based services for easier development on mobile devices.

- Designed and developed software targeting several large customers in the retail and service industry. Our products were designed to allow companies to automate the monitoring of everyday management tasks by setting up alerts in our system and then taking some kind of action based on the alert like sending emails, sending a message to a pager, running a process on the machine(s), etc.- Performed maintenance tasks on legacy VB 6 applications as needed along with maintenance on many C# modules and Windows services, Java applications, and C++ libraries. I was also been a resource for creating and maintaining SQL Server queries and stored procedures as well as database maintenance.

- Designed and developed several online scheduling, lead generation, and inventory management systems include Pocket PCs, Tablet PCs, web applications, and Windows based tools. - Responsibilities included assisting with requirements analysis, architecture, design, development, and support of various systems, using C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2000, SQL Reporting Services, and IIS. I was responsible for training the user community on the proper use of the software and understanding its use in the operations of the program.

- Developed enterprise software in ASP and ASP.NET using VB and VB.NET for child care organizations in various countries including Australia and the United States. Initially SQL Server 2000 was used and later SQL Server 2005 as the backend database. Javascript and VBScript were used for client side web page processing. C# was used for our custom reporting solution that I wrote to allow users to do internet based reporting using SQL Server Reporting Services.- Software helped child care centers efficiently run their centers. It kept track of child drop-offs and pick-ups through a real-time time clock. Managed financial information including payments, invoices, credit memos, debit memos and billing processes. Billing was fully automated and integrated with the time clock for quick and easy billing processing. Software managed a corporation’s payroll. The payroll module was also integrated with the time clock which allows for extremely quick and easy payroll processing.- Responsibilities included: working with other team members designing new functionality; implementing new functionality; maintaining existing code; troubleshooting production server issues; releasing code changes to the production servers; working with customer level support to resolve issues quickly and efficiently for our customers; mentoring entry level developers

- Provided support for software developers in a variety of technologies including OLEDB, ODBC, XML, VB6, C#, C++, ASP, ASP.NET, ADO, ADO.NET, SQL Server 2000, MDAC, etc. Ensured that customer’s issues are solved quickly, efficiently, and to the customer’s satisfaction. - Helped businesses resolve mission critical issues in a timely manner. For example, if a company is not able to do business because their computer infrastructure is down then I worked to bring them back online quickly and resolve any issues that is causing the work stoppage.- Developed sample code for customers to illustrate programming techniques, ideas and best practices.- The vast majority of customers that I supported had their applications written in either VB6, VB.NET, C++ or C# .NET. So it was an essential part of the job to have a good understanding of those languages to be able to communicate with the customer effectively as well as solve the problems that occur quickly. Many times, the problem was difficult to determine and customers needed to send entire applications that were written in VB6, VB.NET, C++ or C# .NET so that they could be debugged in-house, diagnose the problem(s) and suggest the necessary code changes to resolve the problems.

- Worked on a seven person team to create a large application that enabled customers to quickly and easily create and store financial prospectuses in PDF format using a Windows like interface on the web. This application was an ASP.NET 1.1 web application written mainly in C# and JavaScript using a SQL Server 2000 backend. This application reduced the time to create a single financial prospectus from around 30 hours to about 3 hours. This application was a new version of an existing application. Some of the code logic had to be transferred to the new version of the application and converted from VB to C#.- Worked on a four person team to maintain an existing application. This application was also an ASP.NET application with a SQL Server 2000 backend. This application allowed the user to quickly create financial reports and statements. The user did not need to worry about the complicated calculations that went into creating these documents thus productivity was greatly increased.
