Wenatchee, Wa

Teacher for all Science classes at Westside High School in Wenatchee School District. Westside High School is an alternative learning environment for students who are challenged in a number of different ways. The whole school is designed to be individualized and self-paced. We work on a contract based system in nearly every class. Because of this, and our seven period day, students can accelerate their education in order to make up missing credit, graduate early, or take the time they need to master the material. Westside offers several different school programs. I teach in the day program, where 175 students are enrolled. During my tenure, student test passing scores on the Biology EOC rose from 29% to 80%. I oversaw the transition to an online based curriculum through Discovery Education married to Google Classroom and aligned to NGSS. I also administered the outdoor education program No Child Left Inside, nurturing community partnerships to expose students to STEM careers and field opportunities.

Wenatchee, Wa

Served as the Head of Staff of this 460 member congregation in North Central Washington, formerly First Presbyterian Church of Wenatchee. The church successfully transitioned into life and leadership in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, having recently emerged from the PC USA, and focused its ministries in a distinctly Reformed, Presbyterian, Evangelical and Missional direction. Established bilingual services twice a year, a third service is in Spanish, and an overhaul the church’s schedule to create maximum opportunity for relational interaction between members of all cultures. The church was debt free, with an annual budget of $948,000 and mission giving of $225,000 per year. The church contributed to ministries that led to new professions of faith in the Wenatchee Valley, on the Yakama Indian Reservation, in Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America. The church has built and maintains a mission school in Palencia, Guatemala along with long term support for La Vision ministry there. The church is in conversation with the EPC’s Engage 2025 leadership from World Outreach to partner with other EPC congregations in the Pacific Northwest to begin a new church planting effort in Malaysia.

Zelienople, Pa

Served as the solo Pastor of the congregation. Seven major improvement projects were completed and the congregation had a ten month cash reserve while each year finishing within the approved budget and accruing no debt in the process. The congregation engaged in its first two international mission trips in its history to Amazonas, Brazil where we participated in VBS, medical, dental, adult evangelism, building projects and nightly worship services (where I preached). During each visit we saw many professions of faith. During my tenure there, I also served as a Minister member of Beaver-Butler Presbytery Committee on Ministry and as the Youth Ministry Coordinator for the Presbytery.

Champion, Oh

Gave administrative support to the following ministries: Stephen Ministry, Deacons, Evangelism Explosion, Adult Education, Praise Team, Youth Search Committee, and Small Groups. Served as the staff liaison to the following committees in this 500 member church: adult ministries, mission, outreach, Stephen leadership and the Deacon Board. Helped shape and streamline the first service. Taught Sunday school and Wednesday evenings, preached frequently, conducted funerals, weddings and visitation. Serve as Clerk of Eastminster Presbytery’s Committee on Preparation for Ministry.

Protected building, assets and personnel of Hewitt during and outside of business hours. Available on call for emergencies, particularly medical, investigation, criminal activities, and incidental (like keys locked in cars).

Taught Math, Science and various electives to seventh and eighth graders, developed and directed the school's athletic program, developed and directed a league of Christian schools, served as part of a three member administrative team in the absence of a principal.
