Responsible for the monitoring and management of wildlife populations on the Coeur d'Alene Reservation and throughout the Tribe's Ceded Territory, including elk, moose, deer, wolves, furbearers, waterfowl, and nongame species.

Project Coordinator for the Integrated Deer Management Project• Coordinated the Integrated Deer Management Project, a $1.7 million state-funded research project focusing on improving the management of white-tailed deer in Indiana by combining information on population density, habitat condition, and public opinion• Assisted in the development of a predator occupancy study to supplement the Project, involving designing roadside scat survey routes and hair snare devices to census coyote, bobcat, fox, and other potential predators of white-tailed deer• Served as primary point of contact for the Project; in frequent communication with Purdue faculty, staff, and students, Indiana Department of Natural Resources staff, and the public• Assisted with the selection of study areas, development of sampling protocols, and data analysis• Conducted fieldwork including deployment/retrieval of remote cameras, deer fecal pellet counts, twig age/browse transects, and construction of deer exclosures• Developed and evaluated machine learning approaches to automated image classification to streamline the classification of >1.1 million images• Coordinated field efforts of Project collaborators across multiple sub-projects and across the state to ensure equitable use of Project resources (vehicles, equipment, technicians)• Implemented data quality control measures and oversaw the secure storage of all Project data while ensuring transparency and accessibility to Project collaborators• Authored yearly Annual Report to the funding agency (IDNR) summarizing Project expenditures, efforts, and results.
