Leveraging my unique blend of expertise in Economics and Data Science, I have dedicated my career to date to driving innovation and efficiency in economic analysis through advanced technologies. Currently, I lead the development of AI-powered tools at the Bank of Canada, where I serve as the Technical Lead of the Large Language Model Working Group. My role involves not only implementing cutting-edge AI solutions but also liaising with clients to ensure our Data Science offerings integrate seamlessly with the work of economists.Over the years, I have had the privilege of guiding teams through complex projects, from adapting machine learning methods for economic forecasting to modernizing data collection, storage and analysis infrastructure for the Bank of Canada’s Business Outlook Survey. My experience spans multiple domains, and my ability to communicate complex concepts to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences makes me an ideal Data Science Translator.My journey in economics began with a strong foundation in forecasting and macroeconomic modeling, where I coordinated the team producing international economic projections that informed monetary policy. I’ve consistently sought to modernize and enhance the tools and methods used in economic analysis, whether by redesigning forecasting models or developing Tableau-based tools for faster, more accurate analysis.I am passionate about continuous learning, and also about sharing my knowledge and experience through coaching and mentorship.
