Since cellular technology arrived in Halifax back in 1987, I’ve had the pleasure of working with three of the country’s largest Bell Mobility dealerships. I've always been a bit of a gadget guy, so it's been fun to watch how this technology has progressed over time. While manufacturers impress us each year with their latest offering, I often think back to those big, expensive, first generation handsets and realize just how far we've come. I am still involved in the wireless industry but I am no longer affiliated with a carrier or a wireless dealership. Instead, I've become an independent agent representing multiple firms that each provide some type of managed mobility service. These solutions are all designed to address one or more of the most common issues that have been known to contribute to the rising costs and the headaches associated with maintaining and supporting a company's fleet of devices. Starting with a thorough understanding of existing processes, procedures and policies, I am able to share with my clients some of the industry best practices I’ve seen first-hand over the years that could contribute to some efficiencies and cost reductions for them. If they feel like there are processes in need of some assistance, I can introduce the appropriate service partner that specializes in that area and show how their solution can either help them lower their wireless bills, make improvements in their existing service and support models, or reduce the number of hours it takes each month for their staff to manage everything.When I'm not working, you'll probably find me kayaking, golfing, working in my tiny art studio or playing Pickleball.
