Initiated national press conferences & managed Coast Guard’s communication efforts for events of national significance, such as the Haitian/Cuban mass migration during 1994, loss of TWA Flight 800 & Alaska Air, loss of JFK, Jr.’s aircraft, and major oil spills & pollution events. Taught leadership course in the Government & Management Department and guided professional development of approximately 100 students. Directed the “Swab Summer” Indoctrination Program for the Academy Class of 1998.
