About Pat Rowbottom
Welcome to the LinkedIn page for musician Pat Rowbottom. On this page, you will find information on Pat's various music activities over the last forty years during which time he has worked in the music industry as band leader, song writer, freelance musician, event organiser, music promoter & journalist. He has supported musicians of all ages/abilities in local communities contributing to regional news and radio forums, running music clubs and raising money for deserving charities. Pat's main music focus since 1984 has been the original blues, progressive rock band Cold Flame who have performed across the UK as well as Europe releasing a number of acclaimed studio and live albums. In 2019, Cold Flame celebrated their 35th anniversary as a live/studio act, prompting the release, of a new studio album entitled 'Waiting for God'. Whilst briefly signed to EMI in the late '90s, the band has mainly released albums on their own label. In February 2021, Cold Flame signed a minimum two album deal with West Yorkshire record label Starring Records. [ www.starringrecords.co.uk] The first products from this deal have seen Starring Records release two separate digital expanded anniversary album releases both in 2021. A new studio album is planned for release in 2022. Cold Flame's blend of original electric and acoustic music continues to attract fans and radio airplay across the UK, Europe, USA and elsewhere. During recent years, Cold Flame have played many premier concert venues and music festivals in the UK and beyond both as headlining act or support to well known premier rock and blues bands. The band have also been equally at home in the more intimate atmosphere of regional blues clubs and smaller venues. In 2019 and as a direct result of issues surrounding touring musicians in Europe, Pat created an additional alternative Cold Flame featuring musicians based in France. This line up performs similar material to the main band in England ie original blues rock/folk rock. When opportunities arise Cold Flame also moonlight as one of the premier Jethro Tull tribute acts in the UK with the band playing shows both across the UK as well as in Europe.
