Act as a health and safety advisor for our trades, clients and contractors on the worksite.• Build a strong rapport while also building strong working relationships with all levels of management, supervisors, workers, contractors, clients and visitors.• Provide leadership and advice to all site management and workers on the worksite in regards to HSE related matter.• Monitor worksite activities for compliance to OH&S standards , Sub Contractors and Lafarge policy’s and operational procedures and offer solutions to reach full compliance.• Intervene in unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take appropriate actions to influence and offer solutions to reach full compliance• Conduct daily safety meetings, daily safety orientations, conduct weekly behaviour observation and weekly site safety inspections. • Inspect and review workers field level hazard assessment (FLHA), Field Level Hazard Assessment (FLRA).• Review operators mobile equipment inspection list• Review safe work procedures and safe work practices with the workers before start of the task. Modify safe work procedures and safe work plans when needed. • Lead by example and be an advocate for all rules, policies and procedures set by OHS and all other applicable legislations.• Conduct and administrate first aid reports to personnel on the work site as necessary and transport injured workers in need of medical attention.• Conduct and/or participate in accident investigations and provide input on how to prevent similar occurrences in the future.• Administer WCB claims when needed• Audit worksites for non-compliance safety issues and recommend corrective safety actions.• Administrate and record all safety related documents/ reports electronically.• Update and record site safety information on spreadsheets accordingly for each project.• Discuss any important information to Lafarge’s project team per each project as needed.• Review and record other safety related documents on Site Docs as needed.

Duties included:• Build, renovate and maintain concrete forms, scaffolding, tunnels, shelters, towers and other residential / commercial structures.• Safe operation of portable and stationary power tools. • Maintain, repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine process, specifications and requirements.• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes & regulations.• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and many types of other materials. Operate and maintain carpentry tools and related equipment.• Build concrete structured formwork.• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moldings and hardware.• Pour, place and finish concrete on structures such as slabs, columns and walls.• Perform scheduled maintenance duties on a monthly basis, or as needed. • Training of new staff if placed on my crew.• Erect, close up and remove all types of column forms, elevator core forms and stair core forms.• Work comfortable at heights.• Construct, tie in Fly Tables to meet pour dates.• Install pre-cast stair molds in place.• Assemble cast in place stairs and landings formwork.
