I began my career as an apprentice carpenter and worked through my union apprenticeship in concrete tilt up and production framing. As a journeyman I developed my skills as a frame and finish carpenter. I went from crew to site foreman and then project superintendent. I left the trade to work as a police officer for 5 years. I returned to the trade as a superintendent and eventually project manager leaning on the negotiating, mediation and report writing skills my police experience gave me. As a project manager I have led custom estate home projects, industrial and office parks and hospitality projects with self performing crews of up to 330 employees, all subcontracted work and combinations of the two. I have estimated, negotiated and monitored budgets of up to $165,000,000. My experience and interest in the building industry has given me a vision to see the completed project when reviewing conceptual drawings and topographical studies.
