After spending 10 years playing Professional baseball, I struggled to bridge the gap between the baseball field and the boardroom. Then I realized what my two career choices had in common. Today I lead successful sales teams using what I learned playing baseball: a strong work ethic, how to deal with failure, and the value of structure, process, and goal setting. Most importantly, I use my ability to build relationships and motivate people towards a common goal.Taking the time to get to know people, hear their stories, understand what they want, and help them achieve their goals is never a bad investment of time. Building strong relationships has gotten me where I am today, on and off the field. I believe every person on my team is valuable and important — we need all of us to win. I lead with my heart, helping both my team, partners and customers get where they want to go in life.
