This position held full P&L responsibility for the region and managed up to 180 personnel across all business dimensions of support, delivery and growth.

Global responsibility for daily operations of the Runge business, which was to provide world class technical support to the global mining industry.

Successfully led a number of medium to large scale consulting assignments, often spanning multi-mine, multi-commodity, multi national bases. In parallel, this role required significant post acquisition integration of a number of recently acquired national and international businesses. Key role in setting and delivering business strategy.

Commenced and sustainably grew Runge's first international office, involving significant travel across North and South America to undertake various consulting assignments. Integral role in growing Runge's business by successfully bringing leading-edge Australian capability to the international mining clients.

Gained a solid "front line" coal operations grounding moving through various central Queensland operations over a consecutive 12 year period. Valuable operating experience was gained across coking/thermal, domestic/export mining operations. Skills included drill and blast, scheduling, operating production supervision, maintenance, materials handling/coal processing, sales and marketing, capital and operating budgets. During this time, the post of Registered Mine Manager was also achieved.
