Responsible for cost, schedule, and performance of a portfolio of Army and Marine Corps tactical wheeled vehicle programs including M-ATV, LVSR, MTVR, EBFL and P-19R, at various levels of maturity ranging from program capture through production and sustainment. Interact directly with senior staff at Program Executive Office Combat Support & Combat Service Support (PEO CS/CSS), U.S. Army Tank and Automotive Command (TACOM), Program Executive Office Land Systems (PEO L/S), and Marine Corps System Command (MARCORSYSCOM). Provide leadership and guidance to program and project management staff.

As Senior Manager for the M-ATV Program, direct activities across internal departments at Oshkosh in a matrix environment. Interact directly with Government PMs and APMs in both Warren, MI and Stafford, VA Joint Program Offices and Special Operations Command (SOCOM). Manage schedule, cost, and quality of all deliverables to the government under the MATV contract to include vehicles, components, field service representation, and engineering support.

Oversee programmatic aspects of CONUS and OCONUS post-production retrofit, integration, and fielding activities for MATV production. Coordinate communication and retrofit activities between TACOM, SPAWAR, JPO, and service leads from USA, USMC, USAF, and USSOCOM. Coordinate retrofit activities on-site at SPAWAR Charleston, SC to include capacity, materials, and staffing planning, contract development to fund activities, and front line management as on-site lead for Oshkosh.

Direct the activities of Regional Service Centers in the continental United States including facilities in Jacksonville, FL, Jacksonville, NC, Oceanside, CA, Killeen, TX, and Oshkosh, WI. Hire, train, and develop the regional management staff to manage all aspects running a successful business unit. Develop and manage budget and sales forecasts.

As senior manager for Oshkosh Corporation in Kuwait, oversee all parts and service operations, vehicle refurbishment, and warranty activities in support of US Armed Forces in the middle east. Manage a $36 million per year vehicle refurbishment contract for the US Army. Manage stock levels of over $10M of government owned inventory and $8M of Oshkosh owned inventory.

Participate in advanced Lean manufacturing training and assist operations team members from all business units on implementation Lean principles and best practices. Selected by senior management for enrollment in Oshkosh Corporate Lean Team.

Manage the materials forecasting and safety-stock management for all parts sales, warranty, and service work for Oshkosh Defense aftermarket global operations. Plan the production of major sub-assemblies with Oshkosh production operations to balance customer need with available operational capacities.

Direct the activities of four purchasing agents responsible for over $30 million in annual purchases. Negotiate annualized contracts for purchase of raw materials, steel, finished components, and commodities. Manage KANBAN, VMI, and MRP inventory programs including inventory management and maintenance of computerized ERP system.

Purchased component manufactured parts for made-to-order specialty tank manufacturing. Oversee KANBAN and VMI program for consumable items and shop stock supplies.

Manage material and hardware quoting, purchasing, and inventory management. Schedule the fabrication activities for eight internal work centers and multiple outside fabrication facilities. Foster business relationships as operational point of contact for customer and supplier base.

Direct a management staff of four and total report of staff of forty customer service and inventory management professionals in a third-party logistics environment supporting Dell Computer Corporation’s Tennessee computer production facilities. Oversee customer service and inventory control activities for internal and external components divisions.

Interact with vendor base concerning inventory, shipping, receiving, OS&D, invoicing and rework issues. Train service representatives to resolve day-to-day issues with vendor base.

Coordinate the shipping, receiving and procurement of transportation in warehousing of pulp and paper goods.
