As a concerned citizen, I started a community garden for inner city children, because I was appalled at their diets and the resulting health problems that lack of nutrition created. Now, some of these children have developed great appetites for fresh vegetables and fruits and are maturing in unexpected and beautiful ways. For example, most of the children were ghetto-bound and only stuck to their neighborhoods. They didn't know how to be polite and articulate to outsiders and couldn't communicate with others outside their communities. Now, in bringing our produce to restaurants, etc., they are developing more communications confidence.As a creative entrepreneur, I have also developed products to make life easier for health care professionals/caregivers and their patients. I am launching a new skin care line this summer. I am also an enthusiastic "foodie" with passion around: organic tea blends; gourmet chocolate and the industry; gourmet coffee, specifically JAMAICAN BLUE MOUNTAIN COFFEE and healthy, gourmet food! I also specialize in delicious Jamaican-inspired recipes on food and drink.My major goal is to leave something of value behind, while wholeheartedly enjoying life and encouraging others to see/experience the joy and beauty of life through nature, natural products and food.
