About Patch Aure

Dr. Patrick Adriel H. Aure or Patch is an Associate Professor from the Department of Management and Organization, Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business, De La Salle University. He concurrently serves as the Director of the PHINMA-DLSU Center for Business and Society and as the Assistant Dean for Quality Assurance of RVRCOB. He teaches management principles, research methods, and action research in the undergraduate program, while advocating for integral human development, qualitative research, authentic use of generative AI, and proper interpretation of statistics in management education.In 2018, the Catholic Mass Media Awards recognized his article entitled “Social entrepreneurship as a solution to the drug problem” as “Best Business Column”. In 2019, the Fetzer Institute and the Management, Spirituality, and Religion (MSR) division of the Academy of Management awarded him as a Fetzer Scholar for his accomplishments as a faculty and researcher in the field. In 2020, he was recognized as a Fellow of the International Humanistic Management Association for his work on advocating and developing humanistic management education in DLSU. In 2021, he finished his PhD in Business from DLSU, with a dissertation that explained the viability of social entrepreneurship support and incubation units within higher education through a critical realist philosophy of science. In 2022, he was elected as the President of the Philippine Academy of Management. where he advocated for the development of business research competencies of the country and the responsible use of AI . He is also currently the Managing Editor of the Managing for Society, a weekly opinion column under the Manila Times.He has published journal articles, teaching cases, and opinion columns primarily on the themes of social enterprise business models, social entrepreneurial intentions, social enterprise incubation, sustainability, innovation, and management education.
