In early 2022, the longtime publisher and owner of The Corrales Comment, Jeff Radford, announced that the 40-year old newspaper would cease publishing with the owner's retirement. In July, Radford and Pat Davis announced that they had reached an agreement for Davis to buy the paper and continue publishing. The Corrales Comment serves the Village of Corrales in Sandoval County, New Mexico, a rural village just outside of the city of Albuquerque

Pat Davis served eight years as an elected city councilor for New Mexico's largest city, including serving as president of the city council during the start of the COVID pandemic in 2020 and again in 2023.Representing Albuquerque's UNM, Nob Hill, International District neighborhoods and Mesa del Sol community, Davis helped to pass economic development programs to recruit Netflix, Maxeon, Kairos Power, and Universal Hydrogen to the district - providing economic development and job incentives for the creation of over 3,500 new economy (non-extractive) jobs in the airport and Southeast Albuquerque area.His policy agenda included creating the city's first solar infrastructure program (a $50+ million investment in solar retrofits for public facilities) and co-sponsoring legislation to establish Albuquerque as an Immigrant-Friendly Community, implementing free-fare service for the state's largest transit system, requiring the city to provide paid family leave for city employees and creating a new non-law enforcement response to social service needs. A former police officer, Davis also worked to revise and ultimately redesign the city's independent civilian police oversight program.He also served a member of the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Water Authority and has served on the boards of the Regional Council of Governments, Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and Community Schools Board.

Appointed by Governor Lujan Grisham to head a working group of 20 stakeholders, including legislators, cabinet secretaries, policy advocates and industry leaders, to create a roadmap for cannabis legalization for New Mexico. The project became the framework for New Mexico's successful transition from a medical-only to an adult-use cannabis market.

Founded in 2015, NMPR is New Mexico's most-read political news site, generating more than 1 million unique reads per year according to Google analytics. NMPR is unique in that it is a non-profit news outlet. Its team of on-staff reporters and editors, along with specialty assignment reporters and community opinion writers, contribute to the site. Its content is available online and to other news outlets a no charge.

We serve as a megaphone for progressive champions and causes and hold the right-wing and corporations accountable to making New Mexico better for us all. More than 100,000 supporters across the state have helped us bring marriage equality to New Mexico, protect a woman's access to healthcare and expand equal pay, reduced marijuana penalties to cities and generated hundreds-of-thousands of emails, calls, donations and actions supporting progressive causes and candidates across the state.

Served as a Police Lieutenant overseeing police and investigative services as well as special events and as the public spokesperson for the department. While serving with UNMPD, I was nominated and graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA, the nation's premier law enforcement leadership program.

Community policing, District 6I walked a foot beat in the Anacostia neighborhood, working with small businesses, public housing managers and church leaders to clean up blight and address community concerns.
