OVERVIEW:I am primarily a professional broadcast and video editor/compressor, self-employed with P D Post Productions, Inc. since 1990. I have edited at or with dozens of Chicagoland corporations, post-production houses, broadcast facilities (including NBC5, FOX32 and WCIU26), and Harpo Productions (editing Oprah roll-ins and show clean-ups)AWARDS:Several corporate projects I have edited have won Telly, Communicator, ITVA, MCAI, Axiem, Addy and other awardsSERVICES:Here is a partial list of service types that P D Post has provided just in the last few years:- corporate video editing for a wide variety of uses in the medical, insurance, food services, building products, utilities, education, electronics, transportation and other fields- editing hundreds of commercials for local, regional and national broadcast from Al Piemonte and Jewel Food Stores locally to Maytag and Corona nationally- editing infomercials for Scottsdale Culinary Institute and others- on-site production and post-production at locations including Athens, GA, Washington, DC, Dallas, Las Vegas, San Juan, Cancun and Nassau - roll-in editing for corporate and broadcast programming- technical director and camera operator of both corporate and broadcast live and live-to-tape programing - setup and operation of three cameras (two locked down and one operated) for corporate presentations, later multi-cam edited with support graphics (both PowerPoint and P D Post created) and then DVD authored with menus and subtitles - audio-only recording and editing of several day-long continuing education courses for web & CD playback - subtitling DVDs and web videos in multiple languages- compression of older masters for Flash/Windows Media/Quicktime website delivery - transferring masters and footage to and from Beta-SP/mini-DV/DVCam/VHS for a variety of new uses - transferring filmstrips to DVCam via a projector, and later color correcting, editing and DVD authoring - “and more”!
