Hello my name is Patrick Deters, I am a third year Marketing student in the Williams College of Business at Xavier University. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio, and I graduated from Saint Xavier High School in 2022. Shortly after my high school graduation, I began an internship with the Chemed Corporation and worked with their subsidiary company, Roto-Rooter. My main work during the internship included helping run the social media pages, communicating to individual franchises of Roto-Rooter, and marketing through social medias by creating graphics through Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. As a result, visits to the social media pages increased, and the websites visits increased by 12.31% during the summer of 2022. In the summer of 2023, I returned to the Chemed Corporation working as a marketing intern with Roto-Rooter. During my 2023 internship, I worked mainly with Roto-Rooter’s subsidiary companies Duracable and Western Drain Supply. In the 2023 summer, I utilized certain marketing strategies on their social media pages, which magnified to the 30.2% increase on product orders from the previous summer. I returned to Roto-Rooter in the summer of 2024 as a marketing intern.
