As a Deputy Chief Accountant in PwC’s National Accounting & SEC Services team, my clients and colleagues trust me to provide high quality accounting and financial reporting advice relevant to their business and the current economic environment. Over my 33-year career, I’ve served clients on the frontline, supported engagement teams as a national office consultant, and served the profession as a Practice Fellow at the FASB. With significant experience a the Board, C-Suite and senior management levels across a variety of industries and geographies, I combine excellent leadership and oral and written communication skills with a passion for continuing to enhance the impact of, and broader understanding of the role of, the independent auditor in the capital markets' financial reporting supply chain.Currently, I lead a team of 25 partners and directors responsible for consulting with our clients and engagement teams on complex accounting matters relating to revenue, compensation, income taxes and several other topics under both US GAAP and IFRS, with a focus on the technology, pharmaceutical & life sciences, and entertainment & media sectors. In addition to client-specific matters we monitor the activities at the FASB, IASB, and other standard-setting and regulatory bodies (e.g., SEC, AICPA) and develop the firm's accounting guidance on new and existing GAAP. We also interact regularly with other subject matter experts in the profession on emerging issues.Previously, I led PwC’s Industrial Products Assurance practice in the New York metro region, including serving as the lead global audit engagement partner on the integrated audits of multiple billion-dollar plus SEC registrants. Earlier in my career, I completed a two-year Practice Fellowship at the Financial Accounting Standards Board and a two-year secondment in London as a member of PwC’s Global Capital Markets Group.Outside the firm, I chaired Penn State University's Smeal College of Business Accounting Department's External Advisory Board for 10 years. I graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Accounting with Honors and with Highest Distinction, and hold CPA licenses in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
