Recruited by VC investors, I led iQuate from very early stage to become a recognised global leader in its market – IT Infrastructure Management. It was an amazing journey, with setbacks and difficult challenges but with a team of great people, we built a solid, profitable company with great potential.

SAS is one of the world’s most respected software companies with 2018 revenue of over $3.2 billion.I was headhunted to establish their first direct presence in the Irish marketplace, and I grew it from first employee to become one of the most effective small offices in the European market. I had full P&L responsibility and ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the business in Ireland.

Informix (subsequently acquired by IBM) was one of the most innovative Database companies of its time.I initially joined as a Pre-Sales consultant but subsequently took over responsibility for all sales in the Irish Market. I initially joined as a Pre-Sales consultant dedicated to Teradata’s largest customer in Ireland, Telecom Eireann. This was a multi-million pound account for Teradata, and Telecom Eireann was one of the true innovators in Europe in Large Data Warehouses, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.Within 18 months, I took overall sales ownership for the account, and closed over 1.2 million punts of incremental business in the account.

I led a team of 12 developers (Based in Cork, Ireland) providing offshore software maintenance and development services for Boeing Computer Services, in Seattle, USA.My time here spanned a range of computer languages and a range of applications, but all related to building and supporting aircraft. This was my first real exposure into team leadership and management.
