Flywheel Fund is an investment fund that is part of The Mill’s startup and entrepreneurship programming. We target a) technology startups that are b) pre-seed or seed that are c) located in Indiana. We write $75k initial checks and $100k follow-on checks.For Funds I and II, we made 17 investments in 13 companies. 39% of our capital was deployed into female-founded teams, 41% into minority-founded teams, 18% into Black-founded teams, and 43% into startups from Bloomington.

Cofounded one of the first digital advertising agencies with $2000. With no investors and no debt, led the company to 15 of 16 years of profitability and to an acquisition in 2020 to Brainlabs, its largest UK competitor. Started PPC Hero and Hero Conf, the industry’s leading blog and conference respectively.Clients included: American Eagle, Home Depot, La-Z-Boy, NPR, ParkMobile, REI, Salesforce, Target, UCLA, University of Chicago, and Weather Channel.
