I am a Master's student at Umass Amherst in the Computer Science department. My research interests lie in the field of Deep learning, Computational Neuroscience and Reinforcement learning and how they inform our understanding of intelligence. I am working in BINDS Lab under Dr. Robert Kozma. I currently work on reinforcement learning in biologically inspired Spiking neural networks (SNN). Before starting grad school, I was a full-stack developer at GameChange, Dubai.

The aim of this project is to develop a device that keeps track of the medication intake time and medication adherence of a patient. The device is developed for adherence study of HIV patients.Project being done in collaboration with St. Johns Research Institute, Bangalore and University of California, San Francisco. This is funded by NIH, US Department of Health.As a software engineer, I was responsible for creating the database for the data collection, developing the software for real time remote monitoring of all the devices and technical support.I also helped in manufacturing and assembly of the devices.

Creations labs is a student driven space aimed at encouraging students to build, design, collaborate and innovate on projects and events to enable them to think out of the box, be creative and bring out the best in themselves.As a researcher at the Creation Labs, I got to interact with some of the most innovative minds at VIT.
