Buyer – North America
Current• Responsible for planning, negotiating and buying raw materials (Resins, Additives, Pigments, Fillers, Epoxy, TGIC), packaging materials, uniform, equipment, parts, MRO for 3 plants in North America • Taking care of buying worth 2 Million/month and 500+ SKU through 100+ vendor spread through North America, Asia, Europe, Middle East• Running MRP, evaluating the raw material requirement v/s. stock, safety stock, sales orders, forecast• Preparing and processing purchase orders and service contracts• Managing timely delivery, following up to expedite delivery, scrutinizing and resolving complaints• Communicating forecast to the key supplier to meet with the future requirements• Managing good supplier relationships, performance and product specification to ensure consistent quality, quantity, price, and timely delivery of products and services• Assessing vendor profiles, analyzing offers, negotiating prices and terms & conditions• Identifying cost reduction and product replacement opportunities to meet with the company goal• Negotiating the return of materials for replacement or credit • Working on requirement planning, maintaining vendor master, material master, info records, etc.• Coordinating with scheduling, production, logistics, warehouse, QA, finance for raw materials planning• Interacting with sales, shipping, receiving regarding orders, transfers, products availability challenges• Regularly reviewing and working to reduce slow-moving, ageing & obsolete inventories• Preparing and providing monthly, quarterly and yearly reports on various KPI• Preparing and supplying analysis with inventory, costs, historical information using SAP and ERP• Working on different projects and taking many other responsibilities as it arises
