Honours Environment & Business graduate from the University of Waterloo, Citizen Scientist and aspiring Arborist, currently working on the Restoration & Infrastructure team with the Toronto Regional Conservation Authority.Career highlights:- Creating the first Field Guide to Wildlife of Bastimentos Island, alongside the indigenous Naso peoples. This remote, immersive experience strengthened my tropical identification skills and committment to learning from fellow land stewards. - Completing the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s Youth Conservation Corps program (2023), studying at the Canadian Ecology Centre in the Algonquin Highlands and becoming certified in Wilderness/Remote First Aid & Field Guide Leadership (Hiking/Paddling II) through the Outdoor Council of Canada.- Supporting the High Park Turtle Protectors (2023) in monitoring hatchling & nesting behaviour, collectively assisting approximately 722 hatchlings, 80 mothers, over 70 of their nests across 3 seasons.I now strive to bridge my professional work experience in Data Analysis and Project Management with my field experience and academic background in Environmental Studies (BES) to support land stewardship & field ecology research happening with folks who are also passionate about combatting climate change. Currently working towards my Diploma of Environmental Assessment at the University of Waterloo, while learning to leverage GIS tools as a form of storytelling to steer project outcomes, as well.
