Field Service Technician
Current• Arrange field visits and visit clients’ sites and go through the detailed plant plans for collections of Hydrocarbon samples (Oil/Condensate, Natural Gas, Water, and Emulsion) • Assemble and attach equipment, tools to drill stem, production line or wireline to conduct required procedures and tests• Perform on-site analysis on gas and emulsion samples as requested by the clients that includes live H2S analysis as well.• Develop competencies to effectively troubleshoot operating issues that will impact safety, reliability or sampling• Ensure petroleum waste is identified and disposed of in accordance to regulatory bodies• Have constant communications with the operations and the control room while working on the plants or SAGD well-pads• Work collaboratively with other team members and departments to achieve company goals and intended outcomes• Sample transport, handling and shipping• Drive laboratory truck to well site and live plant. Maintain and perform preventative maintenance and pre-/post-trip inspections on company vehicles • Complete performance and safety inspections on equipment and machinery to maintain operational baseline• Manage administrative tasks such as maintaining logs, documenting procedures, shipping oil and gas samples, and preparing orders• Use and maintain the on-site lab equipment and instruments• Follow standard code of conduct before commencing the work including getting permits and Pre-job hazard assessment• Perform additional tasks as required and requested by the company and clients
