•Shift activities for TG and Auxiliaries of 330*4 and 660*5 units•One of the members in development of “Job Safety Analysis and Risk Assessment” (JSA-RA) for all jobs that are being carried out in TG and Auxiliaries area.•Member of the “Safety Assessment team” which carries out safety assessment of the various areas of the plant.•General and breakdown maintenance of various types of pumps like Condensate Extraction pumps(CEP) , Boiler feed pumps (BFP) , Various pumps of oil and chemical systems ,etc. with discharge pressure ranging from 1MPa to 32MPa.•General maintenance of Turbine(Main Turbine of 660MW units and Turbine for BPFs) , Generator and its lubrication and governing oil systems.•Overhauling and General maintenance of Condenser.•Overhauling of various cooling water systems for condenser(CW system) ; for lubrication oils (CCCW system) ; for auxiliaries(ACW system).•General maintenance of Vacuum Pumps.•Overhauling and general maintenance of heat exchangers like Plate HEs; High Pressure Heaters as well as Low Pressure Heaters and Pressure vessels like Deaerator.•Overhauling and general maintenance of High energy Valves of feed water , steam and turbine drain system.•Inventory management and maintenance with optimum level of spares available every moment.•Planning, Time Management, Manpower handling, Resource allocation, coordinating with different department, Liaisoning , Quality inspection.•Conscientious for maintaining the History of each equipment’s along with daily, weekly, monthly reports of the progressive and completed tasks.

24 weeks training in Adani Power Training and research Institute(Grade-A institute, Accredited & recognized by CEA,MoP,GoI): • 6 weeks of classroom training focusing on basics of a thermal power plant ; working cycle of power plant ; brief introduction of its critical as well as non-critical equipment .• 4 weeks of rotational on job training which included going to all the different departments of the plant and understanding their role in the organization along with exposure to the equipment of the plant.• 4 weeks of specialized class room training consisting of more detailed lectures on operation and maintenance of specific equipment• 2 weeks of simulator training of a 660MW power plant operation. Training included cold startup, ,warm startup as well as hot startup simulation and generating full load. Simulation on emergency scenarios also performed.• 8 weeks of “on job” training, which I did in Turbine maintenance department. Learning about daily routine work of the department and participated in it.
