At the Centre for Quantum Topology and Its Applications (quanTA):• Facilitate high-performance computing on GPU servers by writing Python and SLURM scripts, empowering users to efficiently execute their tasks and leverage the full capabilities of the infrastructure.• Develop and maintain GPU server research infrastructure, integrating coding platforms and tools, managing user access, and troubleshooting access and coding issues.• Act as a liaison between users and the ICT department, ensuring smooth communication and resolving technical issues related to the GPU server infrastructure.

At the Rocky Mountain Ecohydrology research group:• Led the design and development of a Python library for large-scale image data analysis that leverages HPC clusters to perform inference on a massive scale, analysing over 2.5 million images using MegaDetector and CameraTrapDetectoR.• Utilized libraries such as numpy, OpenCV, ffmpeg, multiprocessing, pandas, and matplotlib to implement efficient data wrangling and processing scripts in Python, capable of scaling seamlessly across thousands of cores.

In the Computational Epidemiology and Public Health Informatics Laboratory (CEPHIL):• Utilized Bayesian Machine Learning algorithms such as Particle Filtering and Particle-MCMC to enhance the efficiency of stochastic compartmental models, enabling accurate projection and forecasting.• Collaborated closely with lab members during the peak of the pandemic to contribute to key modelling projects. Integrated crucial factors like vaccinations, new variants, and wastewater surveillance data into the production models used for daily reporting.• Developed and maintained a high-performance C codebase that leveraged OpenMP and MPI to harness distributed computing, effectively parallelizing machine learning algorithms. This resulted in a significantly reduced turn-around time for processing and analysis.

As a dedicated Teaching Assistant since Fall 2020, I have consistently supported multiple classes each term. My responsibilities encompassed various vital tasks, including grading, teaching, conducting tutorials, and serving as a Marking Coordinator. At the Centre for Quantum Topology and Its Applications (quanTA):• Worked under Prof. Steven Rayan on a project focused on utilizing machine learning methods to investigate the geometry of group actions on Co-Higgs Bundles on P1.• Applied the method of Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) to compute eigenvalues of the Airy Differential Operator, which emerged from the quantization of the Hitchin spectral curve.• Conducted experiments utilizing the Qiskit Aer simulator and real quantum hardware from IBM Quantum to validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed approach in computing the eigenvalues of the Airy Differential Operator.

In the Computational Epidemiology and Public Health Informatics Lab (CEPHIL):• Collaborated with the development team to implement effective data strategies and construct scalable data pipelines for the ingestion, translation, and analysis of large data sets using R, Python, and Bash.• Developed automation tools within Apache Airflow to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort by effectively scheduling, launching, and monitoring large-scale simulation models.• Led a sub-team of undergraduate students, overseeing the execution of daily simulations of COVID-19 spread for Canadian provinces. Delivered statistical reports to government stakeholders within 24 hours, ensuring timely and actionable insights.

At the Plant Phenotyping and Imaging Research Centre (P2IRC):• Conducted research in image analysis and data organization for image-based plant phenotyping as part of Theme 3.2 (Data Analysis for Rapid Plant Phenotyping). • Developed scalable aerial image processing tools using Metashape, scikit-image, and OpenCV for the PlotVision (SaaS) platform, enabling efficient extraction of phenotypes and accurate prediction of harvest yield outcomes.• Explored and implemented various image segmentation algorithms to create a generalized segmentation framework, specifically focused on extracting individual field plots and segregating crop and flower pixels, enhancing the accuracy of plant phenotyping analysis.
