Project: Mount Daniel Elementary School Addition and RenovationMay 2017 - May 2018Project Budget: 17 MillionDescription: Grunley demolished a significant portion of the existing school, performed ~22,000 SF of renovations and design and constructed a new 64,000 SF addition. The primary purpose of the expansion is to reduce overcrowding at Mount Daniel and the nearby Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. In addition, Mount Daniel was brought up to current ADA and life safety standards.Project: Johns Hopkins Hospital - Meyer Building RenovationSeptember 2016 - May 2017Project Budget: 45 MillionDescription: Meyer renovation entails updating three levels of the facility’s aging patient and therapeutic units, and converting them from a mix of semi-private and private rooms to all-private rooms. In addition, programmatic, utility and infrastructure deficiencies are addressed. The first floor public spaces will be renovated and the existing masonry façade will be cleaned and repaired. The façade and many of the building’s historic interiors include a highly detailed restoration process.
