AMC’s well-established family health clinics are small branches scattered throughout Portland metro to provide exceptional health care for patients of all types. Fast paced environment in an comfortable and intimate office setting. My responsibilities were very diverse. Creating patients charts as ER follow=ups from Del Sol Medical Center and Las Palmas Medical Center as Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and paper charts. Daily appointment confirmations. Work in conjunction with janitorial service to assure cleaning and hazardous materials were properly disposed of also, worked with laundry service for doctors' lab coats were sent/returned on a timely basis. Kept refrigerator/pantry fully stocked for doctors/staff. Create work department work orders as needed. I also facilitated meetings and luncheons for vendors/pharmaceutical representatives, processed FedEx super bills, reconciled front desk financials, dispersed daily mail, and processed Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork. Also among my duties were Medical Record archiving and document purging. I also stepped in as needed to assist physicians with all call-house accommodations. During my time with Acute Surgical Care Specialists, I created several user-friendly and time-saving documents for daily use that were spread to other offices within the organization and surpassed my tenure.

El Paso, Texas Area

Located in busy downtown El Paso, I had the pleasure of working with the best bariatric surgeon in the Southwest. The doctor decided to sell his practice and head to Acute Care Surgery to pursue his passion of emergency room, trauma, and surgeries. I was requisitioned to help transition the doctor and his staff to the new center. The changeover was auspicious. Some of the roles I was accountable for were processing employee hires/terminations, timecards/payroll, bank deposits, accounts receivables/payables, logistics, assisted with billing/coding, administering Electronic Federal Tax Payable Systems (EFTPS), messages in care of the doctor while in surgeries or meetings. I also managed pending/emergency messages in MediNotes and worked with Security Officers on all policies and procedures for staff. Coordinated employee meetings regularly, dispersed daily mail, correspondence incoming/outgoing. Create department work orders as needed. Scheduled meetings/luncheons with vendors/pharmaceutical representatives.
