Pati has years of professional experience. She has spent her professional career in the tax industry specializing in servicing small businesses. Forming DBS Financial Services, Inc. in 2007, Pati brings to her company a strong commitment to her clientele, offering superior knowledge and expertise. A graduate of San Diego State University (2018) with a Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies, she fulfilled a long time goal of completing her education at the university she began her college career at. Her education in the field of Women's Studies arose out of her passion for women's rights, social justice and a desire to serve her community. First beginning her career at her family's firm in the San Gabriel Valley area of Los Angeles County. Pati gained knowledge and specialized skills in small business income tax preparation. As part of her commitment to the success of small business owners, she has competently trained over 150 companies in QuickBooks software as part of the Professional Advisor program. Pati also gained corporate tax experience by spending three years at a national retail chain with over 500 locations nationwide. She was one of two tax accountants for a company listed by Fortune 500 as #13 fastest growing business. After leaving corporate life, she went to work for a fast paced CPA firm in Pasadena, CA where she assisted in the tax preparation of more than 800 individuals and small businesses during the tax season. Providing accounting services to a number of entertainment clients in the Los Angeles area as well. Volunteering is an important part of Pati's life. She has volunteered with Girls Scouts of America and PTA, and now volunteers instructing refugee women in self-defense, financial well-being and empowerment. Married for over thirty years, she is the mother of two talented young women, and the grandmother of one adorable grandson. She enjoys reading, fishing, painting, gardening, traveling and spending time with family.
