Responsible for overall management of the stations multi-stream Technical Operations Center. Including Master Control/Traffic and Engineering/IT staff evaluations and scheduling. Also, working with Engineering and Traffic to establish and maintain standard operating procedures and policies. Managing payroll, the setting and tracking of Engineering and Capital budgets, service and site contracts, purchasing and accounts payable billing. My objective is to maintain the stations rich history of innovation that has earned KSPS Engineering the recognition from PBS technical systems. I am proud to be a part of an award winning station.

KSPS PBS, KSPS World, KSPS Create, KSPS Kids, Ch-17 (District 81). KSPS provides on-air, online and multimedia programs that entertain, engage and educate to enrich all the communities we serve.Management of the broadcast operation duties including, recording, ingesting of all on-air programs and promotional content for four OTT program streams and three cable channels originating from the KSPS Operation Center. Also, operate and monitor Master Control related equipment including, asset management and Traffic systems, EAS and satellite receiving equipment. Creation of the Daily Program Logs for KSPS World, KSPS Create, PBS Kids, cable channel 17. I have written and established standard operation procedures. I proudly contribute my voice to on-air tags, promotions and production. I am honored to be part of the PBS team.

Shortly after I was hired, the only other person in this department moved on to a different department leaving me the sole manager of these projects and clients. There were no standard procedures available, so I created and maintained procedures to stabilize the workflows. After some roadblocks, I was able to earn the trust of my co-workers and together we were able to establish new SOPs, Standard Operating Procedures. Client complaints and workflow issues started to decline which proved my workflows were a success. Also, I was working closely with clients to update workflows to become more efficient and more user friendly. Since my hiring, this department has increased to 6 people and is still growing. Some international clients include: Alibaba, Amazon Germany, Starhub China, Avex Japan, Astro Singapore, IMD = TV5 Monde - France, TVKpop - Korea, Eros Now - India, The Filipino Channel.

Encompass broadcasts over 900 channels globally and provides services including VOD, OTT, IPTV, IP streaming and mobile services.In my previous position as DMC Lead, I helped launch this brand new network created by Participant Media called Pivot. Participant Media chose me to be the primary point of contact to support and develop channel origination and VOD media for Pivot since we had a great working relationship. I would travel to their offices a few times a year to discuss discrepancy resolutions and future content aggregation. Back at Encompass, I liaised with Engineering, Master Control and the Director of Technology to ensure Pivot was a success. New programs were created and launched as the popularity for the channel grew along with Pivot’s viewership. Pivot created products I was proud to be a part of. I left Encompass to pursue opportunities in Colorado.

Management of all aspects of on-air graphics from delivery to template creation on Clarity to G2UI rules management to on-air play out, including all graphics devices. Assisted the Broadcast Graphics Manager in establishing, creating and maintaining the standard operating procedures for graphics management processes. Liaised between Programming/Traffic/Media Planning/On-Air Promotions and Network Operations, providing relevant information to all parties and ensuring all stunts are executed as planned. Participated in live graphics stunts. I left Disney to pursue entrepreneurship.

Burbank, Ca

Responsible for troubleshooting uplink and/or downlink video and audio problems, monitoring data streaming, and graphics and file server problems. Transitioned from a manual procedure to a fully automated operation. Monitored the closed captioning, V-Chip, AMOL and SAP of all on-air products. Operated origination equipment such as Saturn/Quartz switchers, Pixel Power Clarity/Graphite graphic devices, Logomotion I and II, Digicart and VTRs. Performed live on-air special events involving interactive tickering stunts as Technical Director. Given responsibilities as acting supervisor and acting manager. Trained new employees, launched new networks and complied with NOC decorum. All channels include: Disney Channel, ABC Family, SoapNet, Disney XD/ Toon Disney. Up-link feeds for Buena Vista TV - ABC.

Fog City News has been voted “Best Newsstand”, “Best Chocolatier”, and even “Best Place To Take Visitors" in San Francisco. I was part of the original crew that opened the store in 1999. I worked closely with the Manager/Owner to ensure amazing customer service. We learned about the products we sold so we could suggest items and answer questions with personal knowledge. I am very proud to say I was part of creating a piece of SF history.
